Do Employers Have to Train All Employees on Discrimination?

business lawA lot of employers really question whether it’s worth it to train their employees in the harassment, discrimination, and retaliation laws of New Jersey, so that they know what kind of behavior is unacceptable and how to report it when it happens. They do complain that it’s a very expensive process and they’re right, but this is required under the law. If you can show that you have taken steps to train of your employees, but most importantly your supervisors, in their legal obligations, this gives you a defense to any claim of retaliation and harassment. It’s well worth the investment when you look at what could happen otherwise to your bottom line.
