Hypersensitive Employee

Hypersensitive Employee

Aaaagh the painAn issue that employers in New Jersey face on a routine basis is the hypersensitive employee who’s taking everything the wrong way, or at least taking everything to heart, even if it’s an innocent suggestion or an innocent comment. This happens with enough frequency that it is a real concern for employers throughout the state. One of the questions is, “Since I know this person is just a whiner, do I really have to go the expense of investigating her complaints?” and the answer is yes, you do. There is no substitute for documenting what the person’s complaining about and what you did in response to it to protect yourself in the event of a lawsuit.
